Better World
Freedom Song - Ajolotls
In Freedom Song, Ajolotls turn spontaneous music-making into a reflection on freedom, human dignity and the possibility of a better world. Their songs emerge in the moment, moving between frustration with the forces that shape our world and a deeply held belief that another future is possible.
From “Better World,” a prayer for a world shaped by greater care and possibility, to “Cruising through the Endtimes,” an impromptu reckoning with corruption, cruelty and those who hold power, the playlist gives space to both anger and hope. It closes with “New World,” imagining the possibility of a more just and utopian future.
At its heart, Freedom Song reflects a simple conviction: being human is a sacred right worth protecting. Through improvisation, humour, protest and imagination, Ajolotls explore the human desire to live freely and to help create a world worthy of that freedom.
